Stuart Shepherd
Stuart worked as an art director and sculptural model-maker for the commercial T.V. industry in N.Y.
He also worked on Peter Jackson’s “LOTR” and helped develop curriculum at Massey University, Bay of Plenty Polytech, and Hungry Creek art school in Auckland.
He has curated exhibitions of N.Z artwork In the U.S. and Europe and lectured internationally.
He is recognized as an authority on N.Z. contemporary folk art.
Stuart lives in Raglan and is currently working on a series of painting and critical writing.

Intro to Table Top Sculpture
4 week course with Stuart Shepherd
Saturdays, 10am to 1pm, from November 26
Students can expect to take away work to be completed in their own time. This is a hands-on “making” workshop. Support and advice for students will be available to follow through with firing and casting of finished pieces.
Wax toBronze
Adults, 3 days. 9am–4pm.
20-21-22 January 2023
Students will be introduced to the process of planar wax sculpting and the principles of 3D design.
This course takes students through the steps necessary to prepare wax pieces for the foundry process.
